Sophie and James sought to have a kitchen that blended functionality and refinement. They envisioned a warm, textural environment that would strike a balance between elegance and comfort. A spacious central island was a key requirement, designed to serve as both a practical workspace and a welcoming social hub for family and friends.

To elevate the cabinetry, the couple requested the addition of brass hardware, introducing a subtle touch of luxury. Maximising storage capacity was also a priority, ensuring the kitchen would be both visually appealing and highly practical in everyday use.

DESIGN HIGHLIGHTS

The dark, in-frame cabinetry, elegantly hand-painted in Farrow & Ball’s Railings, creates a refined foundation. The Statuario Maximus Caesarstone worktops, with their sleek waterfall finish on the island, add a modern touch. Buster & Punch pendant lights illuminate the spacious central island, which serves as both a social hub and a showcase, featuring a Bora Professional hob with a teppanyaki plate.

Brass hardware accents the cabinetry, infusing luxury, while the exposed brick backsplash introduces warmth and texture. Open shelving within the island provides display space, complemented by plush blue velvet bar stools that add vibrant colour and comfort, creating a welcoming ambience.

The design maximises storage with seamless, floor-to-ceiling concealed cabinets, maintaining a streamlined aesthetic. Cleverly hidden elements, such as the passage door leading to a boot room and laundry area, enhance functionality without disrupting the kitchen’s cohesive vision.
